New Zealand’s success: women in operations
FY26
Over the past three years, New Zealand has prioritised creating inclusive operational environments where women can succeed.
In FY25, targeted engagement with service centre managers and supervisors helped challenge entrenched assumptions around women’s physical strength and capability, fostering more inclusive hiring practices. As a result, the percentage of women hired increased from 16% in FY25 to 26% in FY26, alongside a strong retention rate of 91%.
This sustained focus lifted the representation of women in our New Zealand service centres to 13% by FY26, exceeding our global target of 12% women in service centre roles.
